How it All Ends

Written on January 12, 2008 – 7:33 am | by Chris Schaffer |

My friend Ron Turner gave me a link to two videos produced by high-school science teacher Greg Craven. The second of his two videos is a more refined and theatrical production of the his first, so I will show only the second video here.

Watch it, and tell me what you think about his ideas! Or, if you have already seen it, skip right to commenting, I want to know what you have to say.

I will share my full opinion in a later post, what I want to hear now is what you think.

The chart is missing a size for the left/right part for what are the chances of actions being done.

The video tries to persuade you to increase the action side of the collumn.

Another part the chart is missing, is extra columns for different suggestions, and different rows for different serverities, but that is done for simplification.

Indeed it is very simplified, but he does state that it is done so mostly for the purposes of making a concise, understandable video.

However, the argument remains, shouldn’t we be taking some action regardless of the probable chance?

It’s sad that, at this point, people like this guy have to come out of the woodwork and try to convince everyone what deep sh*t we’re in! I mean, as he stated in the video, this isn’t even an issue that’s being debated in the scientific community. It’s government and big business that are stirring up doubt.

    @ Myku
I think the stock market has been the single worst invention in history. The absolute demand to drive profits to shareholders seems to have destroyed any sense of morality that business may have had. And just like you stated, it ends in endless bickering by government and corporate entities to hold up the bottom line.
