New Functions for Users!

Written on December 7, 2007 – 7:18 pm | by Chris Schaffer |

I have a very happy announcement to make for all of you who read and subscribe to Sustainable Democracy.

For quite some time I had been planning on making it much easier for people to interact on the site and keep track of comments. Well I finally broke down and did the work I needed to. There are three new plug-ins up and running on the site.

Related Posts - Every article now links to other posts that might interest a reader. I hate searching archives, or even other categories for very long, so why should you have to? Now you don’t! A maximum of three articles will be listed at the end of each current article.

Subscribe to Comments
- Do you hate constantly checking back on a post to see if I replied to you? Or maybe you are like me and very rarely even remember to check back. Now you can subscribe to the comments for any post and get a notice if there are new comments or replies! This also comes with an integrated subscription manager, so you can un-sub, change notifications, and also change your notification email address.

Threaded Comments
- I’ll even make it better. Now I can reply directly to you and you can debate directly with other visitors by using threaded comments! Now I can also reply directly to you and not write oddly placed message where I reply to more than one person at a time.

I know these things make me happy. I hope they will make your experience here much better, and encourage more people who may have been lurking about the site to get involved.
